I got my insurance license to add to our team's holistic approach to wealth planning. My background is in the banking financial industry and I found it difficult to fully help clients with their financial plans while being restricted by the regulations of the banking industry (no insurance, tax planning etc). So I gave up my licenses and accreditations on "that side" of the financial world and joined an amazing team/family of financial industry experts who experienced the same "lack of options".
